The One Henrico Reading Challenge started as a fun way to share reading activities during the stay-at-home order, and starting June 15, it is the official Henrico County Public Library Summer Reading Challenge! If you haven’t already, sign up to participate in our fun weekly activities designed to help you grow your love of reading and discover a great big world of learning. Logging your reading and learning will earn you chances to win cool prizes, provided by the Friends of Henrico County Public Library.
Visit henricolibrary.org/summerreading to sign up with Beanstack, a reading challenge software (also available as an app for iOS and Android). Each Monday we will introduce a new group of activities to explore. This is your chance to learn more about the library’s offerings, connect with the Henrico community through fun book-based challenges, and share reviews of books you are reading.
Every time you log a book, share a review, or complete an activity you earn digital badges. With every badge you earn, your chance to win cool prizes increases.
Log at least one book, review, or activity after sign up and you will be automatically entered into our weekly $25 gift card drawings. These will take place Fridays between June 19 – August 14 and will feature local and major retailers.
In addition, you can earn tickets for the grand prize drawings by doing any of the following:
Finish the Challenge by earning a total of 10 badges in any combination. Grand prize winners in each age group will win a board game bundle, and one lucky family will win a year membership to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden.
When you finish the One Henrico Reading Challenge, you will also earn a gift certificate for a free book, redeemable once our libraries are fully open.
All prizes have been donated by the Friends of Henrico County Public Library.
Thank you for being #OneHenrico with us and Happy Summer Reading!
Hi! If you are using the mobile app, there isn't a ticket drawing tab. You can use the browser on your device to log in at http://henricolibrary.org/summerreading and you should see the ticket drawing tab there. If you give us a call, we would be happy to walk you through it or place your ticket for you over the phone.
