Equity & Inclusion
We are committed to building equity at HCPL for the long term. Please check back to this page as we continue our work. We will add information about specific library services and resources that are added and augmented as we build equity at HCPL. If you wish to share your ideas, please contact Ha Hoang (hhoang@henricolibrary.org) with your questions, concerns, and suggestions about equitability of library services. Find out more.

Volunteer
Henrico County Public Library needs both adult and teen volunteers year-round for help with a variety of library projects. We greatly value the contributions of our volunteers. Please visit our Volunteering page for more information and to get involved.
Donate Books
All HCPL locations accept book donations. Due to processing time and storage space needed for donations we ask that you please keep donations to two banker size boxes or paper grocery bags at maximum. Be aware that bags or boxes will not be returned to you. Donated materials must be in good, sellable condition. In addition to general interest fiction and non-fiction for all age groups, textbooks less than ten years old and computer books less than three years old can be accepted. DVDs and CDs are also accepted. Please call the library for more information about donating. Thank you for thinking of HCPL!
