Halloween Fun!

Some might say it's the most wonderful time of the year… costumes, candy, and maybe just a little bit spooky! There are many fun and friendly children’s programs to celebrate Halloween at the library this month.

Costume Swap
Varina Library
Saturday, October 13 2:00 pm
Don't shop, swap! Bring outgrown children's costumes to swap for new-to-you costumes. To participate bring a gently used costume on the day of the event. 

Spook-tacular Magic Show
Fairfield Library
Tuesday, October 23 7:00 pm
Join us as we celebrate Halloween with a magic show starring Amazing Mr. B. Halloween treats will be shared at the end of the show. All Ages.

Hurrah for Halloween
Twin Hickory Library
Saturday, October 27th 10:30 am
Join us for ghoulish games, treats, and spooky activities. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Halloween Fair
Gayton Library
Saturday, October 27th 3:00 pm
Join us for storytelling, games, face painting, crafting, and more! This free event is great for families looking for a safe and fun indoor Halloween celebration. Costumes encouraged. Hosted by the West End TAB and sponsored by the Friends of the Gayton Library.

Halloween Storytime and Fair
Libbie Mill Library
Monday, October 29th 6:30 pm
Storytime starts at 6:30, followed by a fair with great Halloween themed games and crafts! This event is great for families looking for a safe and fun indoor Halloween celebration. Costumes encouraged! Hosted by the Northside TAB and sponsored by the Friends of Libbie Mill Library.

There is still time to make a costume! Check out Cool Costumes by Karen Latchana Kenney or Duct Tape Costumes by Carolyn Bernhardt for some DIY inspiration.
