Learn something new this November. This month we are starting a Comics Makers Club for teens, Science Kids is tackling coding, and adults can compete to see who will win JeoPARODY! Find something fun for your family.

For Kids

Science Kids: Little Coders
Monday, November 16, 3:30 pm
Best for ages 4-8. Learn how to talk to robots! Meet up with your library friends virtually and explore the basic concepts of computer coding through picture books, interactive storytelling and fun games. Beep boop!

Build a Story
Monday, November 23, 4:00 pm
If you've ever dreamed of creating your own story books, this is the program for you! Just bring your imagination and we'll provide the writing materials in this interactive workshop for aspiring story tellers of all ages.

And join us for Virtual Storytime on Facebook Live every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:30 am and Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Read, sing, and dance along with your favorite children’s librarians!

For Teens

Comic Makers Club
Mondays in November, 7:30 pm
For Tweens and Teens. Every Monday evening in November is Comic Makers Club! Bring paper and pencils or pens to our virtual meetup for young artists and authors who love comics. We will make comic strips, share projects we're working on, and talk about the comics we enjoy. All artistic skill levels and styles are welcome.

Teen Origami: Folding into Fall
Thursday, November 5, 6:00 pm
Take a break from classes with origami. Learn the art of paper folding through this relaxing activity as we explore different characters and themes to bring about our creations.

SAT and ACT Q&A Session
Saturday, November 7, 2:00 pm
Geared towards high school students and parents. This virtual program offers helpful insight into the SAT and ACT college exams. Topics covered will include how to choose between the tests and how to prepare. Anna Solomon of Flamingo Tutoring will share her years of experience preparing test-takers and will answer any of your burning questions about the SAT or ACT.

For Adults

JeoPARODY Fall Trivia Night
Thursday, November 5, 6:00 pm
"I'll take 'Fall Fun' for $200!" Celebrate the Fall Season with some fun and intriguing trivia in the style of Jeopardy!

Pixlr Basics
Wednesday, November 18, 4:00 pm
Registration required.
Learn how to use the free online photo editor, Pixlr. In this class we will discover how to use Pixlr's templates to create a business graphic suitable for posting to social media. Beginner experience with photography is encouraged but not required.
