Friends of the Library are community members like you with an interest both in supporting the many services currently offered by the Library and in providing additional programs and services. As a 501-C non-profit organization, the Friends strive to enhance and promote the use and enjoyment of the Library, as well as sponsor special programs and activities. The Friends also develop supplemental funding for the Library and actively support its policies and procedures.
Friends devote time to:
Sponsoring special programs and resources—such as Reading Programs for all ages; appearances by authors, experts, and musicians; collection improvements such as Family Resource Centers; and facility enhancements benefiting all visitors.
Encouraging community awareness—by serving as an advocate for the Library and by focusing positive public attention on library services, facilities, and ongoing organizational needs.
Raising funds for the Library—The money library users spend on the sales of books and earbuds provides a significant portion of the budget that makes Friends' programs and other accomplishments possible.
