All Henrico Reads 2025: Know Before You Go
We are just a few days away from hosting our sixteenth All Henrico Reads event! This year we are thrilled to host bestselling author Ruth Reichl and hear about her life, work, and recent release, The Paris Novel. We hope you will join us on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 7p.m. at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. Whether this is your first All Henrico Reads or your sixteenth, it never hurts to plan ahead. Read on for our top five tips for attending this year’s event.
- Planning Your Visit
We’re excited All Henrico Reads is returning to the Henrico Sports & Events Center. This year, All Henrico Reads will be the only event taking place in the facility on the evening of March 27. For details about the venue, check out their frequently asked questions and policies before you head out. Please note guests are not allowed to bring in outside food or beverages, although you may bring in a refillable water bottle.
- Getting There
The Henrico Sports & Events Center is located at 1 All Star Boulevard, Glen Allen, VA 23059; here are the directions. Once you are near, look for blue signs that say “Henrico Sports & Events Center.”
- Parking
Parking is free, but spaces may fill depending on how many people attend the event. The Henrico Sports & Events Center encourages carpooling when possible. ADA Parking is available. This map of the building and parking lots provides a helpful overview.
- Auditorium Doors Open at 5:45 p.m.
The auditorium’s set-up includes a limited number of chairs on the floor in front of the stage, in addition to surrounding bleachers. The Henrico Sports & Events Center includes amenities such as restrooms, water fountains, and vending machines. Here is a look at the facility. We invite you to drop by the Friends of Henrico County Public Library tables; the Friends of the Library make this evening possible. Their tables are also where you can enter our prize drawing for a chance to win a door prize which will be announced at the end of the night.
- What to Expect
All Henrico Reads starts at 7 p.m. Ruth Reichl’s presentation and question and answer session will last approximately one hour. Afterwards, she will sign books. Book People will have copies of her books available for purchase before and after the presentation.
