Live Music for the Holidays!
Get help with holiday shopping from Consumer Reports
It's the time of year when many of us get together with our loved ones, cook and enjoy a big feast, and afterward, do a little shopping. One great resource for the informed buyer is Consumer Reports, the entirety of which you can access for free with your Henrico County Public Library card.
Active Aging Week
“Active Aging Week challenges society’s diminished expectations of aging by showing that, regardless of age or health conditions, adults over 50 can live as fully as possible in all areas of life—physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational and environmental.” - International Council on Active Aging
There are many opportunities for older adults to enjoy life in Henrico County. In the library we offer lectures, craft programs, book discussions, and computer classes all year round. During Active Aging Week we have a variety of programs that provide information and resources for anyone who is looking to stay active and informed, regardless of age.
Introducing Caregiver Kits!
Henrico County Public Library now offers Caregiver Kits to help those with dementia or memory challenges and their caregivers make connections. With a kit, you can spend a nostalgic afternoon together remembering the past. Explore a variety of topics from cooking to local history.
