Introducing Tutor.com

Get help with any kind of academic question in math, science, English, social studies, and writing. The tutors at Tutor.com work with students in kindergarten through 12th grade and even AP level class work and intro-level college coursework. Adults can brush up on their academics, study for citizenship, or get help with their resume.

Spring Child Care Provider Workshops

We have a great batch of child care provider workshops lined up this spring! Learn about good habits, nursery rhymes, and the importance of play. These workshops are a great way to earn continuing education credits and connect with library staff.

2019 Staff Picks for Kids

It is once again time for us to share our favorite books of the year. We are starting with our favorite books for kids (and those young at heart!). Be sure to keep an eye out for our favorites for teens and adults later this week.

Unwind Before You Unravel

The most wonderful time of the year is now upon us – the holidays! There is more to do and seemingly less time to do it: dashing and decorating and dining, and days and days of doing. PAUSE. Let’s take care of ourselves, and help teach our children how to do the same.

Come get some hands-on learning experience while celebrating the holiday season, and take home a book to keep crafting!

Amazing Animals: Stories So Unique, it is Hard to Believe They are True!

Go on, admit it—everyone loves animals at least a little bit! You might enjoy cute animal videos, or even have pets of your own, and the library has a lot books with amazing animal stories. Get to know some truly amazing furry friends and learn about their adventures by checking out one of our favorite true stories. Better yet, check them all out and you can learn how a Canadian bear ended up in England, how a dog decided to go to the grocery store on its own, or how a dog named Glory helps to find other lost pets!

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the Latin Ballet

Have you ever tried to Tango? Slipped into a Salsa? Felt the urge to Flamenco or been moved to Mambo? These are just a few of the many styles of Latin Dance popular throughout the world today. Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15, is the perfect time to learn more about this lively and passionate dance tradition through a special performance from the Latin Ballet of Virginia.

Family Fun for the Spooky Season!

The temperature has dropped, leaves are changing color, and Halloween is right around the corner! We are celebrating with magic shows, special storytimes, spooky science, and fun events for the whole family.

The New Fairfield Area Library is Open!

We are so thankful to all of you who attended the opening of the new Fairfield Area Library. More than 2500 citizens visited the library on Sunday, and checked out over 1100 books.
