We are thrilled to announce that All Henrico Reads, our signature author event, will feature author Cheryl Strayed, who will discuss her bestselling memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail! We invite the community to join us on Thursday, March 28 at 7PM at Henrico’s new Sports and Events Center for an in-person discussion, Q&A with the author, book sales from Book People, and a book signing. Our 2024 Featured Book explores themes of conservation, connection, compassion, and wellness in the natural world. It is a memoir of a young woman who, after losing her mother, seeks strength and solace during a solo hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. The book was a yearslong bestseller, selected as an Oprah Book Club title, and adapted into an Academy Award nominated film. You can pick up a copy of Wild from a library near you (or borrow a digital copy on Libby), and share your thoughts on the title at an upcoming book discussion or related program.
