The 9th Annual RVA Environmental Film Festival is this month and we are excited to participate!
EVolveKY and Drive Electric RVA present Evolve: Driving a Clean Future in Coal Country at Varina Library on Saturday, February 16. There will be screenings at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Before and after the screenings, you can explore several electric vehicles on display in the library’s parking lot, as well as The EV Experience, an educational exhibit developed by Drive Electric RVA. In between the screenings, the audience is invited to a panel discussion with Stuart Ungar, founder of EVolve KY via Skype and local electric vehicle owners about their experiences and the technology behind their cars.

Thank you to the RVA Environmental Film Festival, EVolveKY, Drive Electric RVA, and the Friends of the Varina Library. Visit the RVA Environmental Film Festival website for more information on other screenings in the area.
We are also once again participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count! This Citizen Science program allows anyone to help scientists at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society gather data about the birds in their area. Learn more about the project here.
Stop by Tuckahoe Library on Friday, February 15 at 3:30 or Varina Library on Saturday, February 16th at 10:00 (right before the film screenings!) for a brief introduction to bird watching before going out to look. All ages are welcome and there will be a craft for children.
