We are pleased to announce that, after being unable to join us last year, Robin Sloan will join us virtually for our 2021 All Henrico Reads to discuss his book Sourdough. We are excited to welcome him on April 1, 2021 at 7 pm.

Sourdough by Robin Sloan is set in San Francisco and follows Lois, a programmer who is thrust into a delightful and complex foodie culture after being gifted a sourdough starter. The book inspires many questions about food, what makes a life fulfilling, and the role of technology in our lives. Sourdough is a “beautiful, small, sweet, quiet book” (NPR), and was named one of the Best Books of 2017 by Southern Living, NPR, and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Like Lois in Sourdough, many of us delved into bread baking this past year. Did you have any success? Make your own starter, or find recipes to spice up 2021 with some of our favorite baking books. If you haven’t yet read Sourdough, or wish to revisit its fanciful world, you can place a hold on a copy to download or pick up via curbside service at your library.

Thank you to the Friends of the Henrico County Public Library for sponsoring this event. Find out more about the Friends here.
