March 2nd is Read Across America Day and there are so many ways you can celebrate! You can choose to read a book, watch a movie based on a book, or take part in wacky Dr. Seuss activities.

But wait, what is Read Across America Day? It is an annual reading program that encourages children (and all ages) to celebrate reading. Read Across America Day coincides with Dr. Seuss' birthday, on March 2nd. Here are a few ways to join in the fun:

• Read Dr. Suess's Sleep Book and wear pajamas all day!
• Read Green Eggs and Ham and wear green!
• Read Wacky Wednesday and wear your clothes mismatched, inside-out, backwards, or however you would like!
• ReadThe Cat in the Hat and wear your favorite hat!
• Read Fox in Socks and wear silly socks!

Or wear green pajamas inside out with your favorite hat and silly socks while reading all the books!

You can find these titles and more at the library or as an ebook in our OverDrive collection.

You can also celebrate by attending a library program!
