Metamorphosis at Libbie Mill Library

Our Painted Lady butterflies are emerging from their chrysalises!  After a couple of weeks of anticipation, lots of questions and some excellent shared patron stories of their own experiences with a butterfly kit, four pupae have transitioned into their glorious fourth stage and are making us proud!

Join us on Earth Day in the Children’s Department at Libbie Mill for a Butterfly Release Party on Friday, April 22nd, directly following our Plant a Seed program at 2:30 (weather permitting – we can’t set our beauties free in the rain.)  A special craft and some fun games are also on the celebratory agenda…

Seuss Madness - The Winner!

The top Dr. Seuss book remains a mystery. Our recent Seuss Madness Final between Green Eggs and Ham and The Lorax resulted in a tie.

We apologize to all of you Dr. Seuss fans who were hoping for some closure on this long-standing question.

Our advice to you: go out and re-read these classics and form your own conclusion.

We want to thank all of you who voted and helped us celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss and his wonderful books.
